Jeju Island is a popular tourist destination located off the southern coast of South Korea (quite specific eh?).

Known for its natural beauty, the island is home to several UNESCO World Heritage sites including the Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes (If anybody cares (sorry Unesco I love you)).

제주도는 한국의 남해안에 위치한 인기 있는 관광지이다 (거의 유일한 휴양지다). 자연의 아름다움으로 유명한 이 섬은 제주 화산섬과 용암 동굴을 포함한 몇몇 유네스코 세계 문화 유산의 고향이다.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as hiking, scuba diving and paragliding, as well as indulging in the island’s delicious seafood and traditional dishes (The best boiled pork in the world so far).

The island is also famous for its unique culture, including traditional festivals and customs.

Jeju is also a popular honeymoon destination and is known for its romantic beaches, hot springs, and scenic hiking trails. Jeju Island is also famous for its local products such as mandarin oranges and Hallabong (although It may sound weird but it tastes awsome), a type of tangerine. The island is easily accessible by air and ferry, making it a convenient destination for travelers.

I woke up this morning with a sense of excitement and anticipation as I prepared for my trip to Jeju Island (Smell of freedom and liberty).

As a writer (amateur), I knew I wanted to take my time and fully immerse myself in the beauty of the island, taking in every detail and describing it with precision and care.

As soon as I arrived, I headed straight to the Jeju Folklore & Natural History Museum. The museum was a treasure trove of information and artifacts, showcasing the island’s rich history and culture.

I was particularly struck by the intricate carvings and traditional costumes on display, which were truly beautiful and intricate.

나는 도착하자마자 제주민속자연사박물관으로 향했다. 박물관은 섬의 풍부한 역사와 문화를 보여주는 정보와 유물의 보고였다.

Next, I decided to take a hike up Mount Halla, the highest mountain in South Korea. The hike was challenging but invigorating, and the views from the summit were absolutely breathtaking (TBH I’d prefer Switzerland for hiking only but as experience as whole it scores the same).

The lush green forests and sparkling waterfalls were truly mesmerizing, and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the natural beauty of Jeju Island.

다음으로, 나는 한국에서 가장 높은 산인 한라산을 오르기로 결심했다. 그 하이킹은 도전적이었지만 활기를 불어넣었고, 정상에서 보는 경치는 정말 숨이 막힐 정도였다. 무성한 푸른 숲과 반짝이는 폭포는 정말 매혹적이었고, 나는 제주도의 자연미에 경외심과 경이로움을 느끼지 않을 수 없었다.

After the hike, I was feeling quite famished and decided to try some of the local seafood. I found a charming little restaurant on the beach, where I indulged in a delicious meal of fresh seafood, cooked to perfection.

The flavors were so succulent and satisfying, and I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to taste such amazing food (Do not try the raw octopus. It is scary as hell).

하이킹 후에, 나는 배가 고파서 그 지역의 해산물을 먹어보기로 결심했다. 나는 해변에서 매력적인 작은 식당을 발견했고, 그곳에서 나는 완벽하게 요리된 신선한 해산물의 맛있는 식사를 즐겼다.

After lunch, I decided to take a leisurely stroll along the beach, taking in the sights and sounds of the waves crashing against the shore. The sound of the waves was soothing and peaceful, and the warmth of the sun on my skin was incredibly invigorating.

I couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment and happiness as I walked along the beach, taking in all the sights and sounds of the island (such a beauty).

점심을 먹은 후, 나는 파도가 해안에 부딪치는 광경과 소리를 들으며 해변을 따라 한가롭게 산책하기로 결심했다. 파도 소리는 잔잔하고 평화로웠고, 피부에 닿는 햇살의 따스함은 믿을 수 없을 정도로 상쾌했다.

나는 섬의 모든 풍경과 소리를 들으며 해변을 걸으면서 만족감과 행복감을 느끼지 않을 수 없었다.

As the day came to an end, I found myself feeling a sense of sadness that my trip to Jeju Island was coming to an end. However, I knew that the memories and experiences I had gained would stay with me forever (Cheers to the ones that we got).

The island’s natural beauty, rich culture, and delicious food had left a lasting impression on me, and I knew that I would be back to explore more of its wonders in the future.

하루가 저물어가면서 제주도 여행이 저물어가고 있다는 안타까움을 느꼈다. 하지만, 나는 내가 얻은 기억과 경험들이 영원히 내 곁에 남아있을 것이라는 것을 알았다.

I highly recommend visiting Jeju Island(I’d say second best in Korea right after Gangnam) to anyone looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and experience something truly special. I will definitely be back soon to explore more of this beautiful island.
